How do today's decisions shape tomorrow? The lecture shows how technology, politics, and society interact – and what ideas children can contribute to make the future fair, sustainable, and worth living.
2) Technology and Teamwork in the Racing Project
From the screw to data analysis: A student team shows how mechanics, electronics, software, and collaboration work together so that a racing car can even start.
3) Journey of Food Through the Body
What happens after the first bite? A vivid tour through the mouth, stomach, and intestines explains how the body uses nutrients – and why a balanced diet provides energy for everyday life and sports.
4) System Gastronomy and the World Economy
Using a global fast-food system as an example, it becomes clear how franchising, logistics, and even stock markets work – broken down into examples from children's everyday lives.
Procedure, Location, and Participation for the Upcoming Dates
- Location: Audimax of Kempten University of Applied Sciences (Building V). The large lecture hall offers enough seats for children, accompanying persons, and school classes.
- Time: In the afternoon, planned from 4:00 p.m. One session lasts about 45 minutes; afterwards there is an open Q&A session.
- Cost: Participation is free of charge.
- Registration: For families, registration is usually not required. School classes are asked to register in advance so that enough seats can be planned.
- Student ID for Children: On their first visit, children receive their own Children's University ID card. For each lecture, there is a stamp; those who attend all four dates receive a certificate at the end of the semester.
