Artists' House Kempten | Opening Hours & Menu
The Artists' House Kempten is more than just a café and more than a stage: it is an open, socio-cultural meeting point in the heart of Kempten that brings together enjoyment, encounters, and culture in a compact space. The official site describes the house as the home of the Artists' House e.V.; the association aims to preserve the place permanently and keep it alive with moderate prices, cultural programs, and participation opportunities. For visitors, this means: a relaxed café atmosphere during the day, bar ambiance in the evening, and a program that ranges from live nights to events. Those searching for the Artists' House Kempten usually have very specific questions about opening hours, menu, tickets, or reservations - these topics are the focus of the following classification. ([kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de](https://www.kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de/))
Opening Hours, Reservations, and Hot Kitchen
The current opening hours are clearly communicated: Monday to Thursday from 10 AM to 11 PM, Friday and Saturday from 10 AM to 12 AM, Sunday is a day off. Additionally, the hot kitchen runs continuously until 9 PM. This makes the Artists' House not only a classic lunch meeting place but also a reliable spot for late meetings, after-work visits, and the evening before or after an event. The website makes reservations directly visible, and the contact area is designed for table reservations and general inquiries. ([kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de](https://www.kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de/))
This transparency is a real plus for planning. Those planning a visit with friends, family, or colleagues can orient themselves to the fixed times and do not have to wonder if the kitchen is still open. This is particularly important for venues with gastronomy and a stage: one wants to arrive before the show, perhaps eat something, then relax and not have to order at the last minute. The Artists' House consciously positions itself as an uncomplicated meeting point in everyday life and as a reliable evening venue for special occasions. ([kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de](https://www.kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de/))
The club culture is also reflected in the visiting logic. The association describes the house as a place with moderate prices where people can meet, play chess, or experience culture. This creates a visiting feeling that does not rely on formal distance but on openness and return visits. Those searching for 'opening hours' are often actually looking for orientation - and they get it very directly here: when open, when kitchen, when Sunday break, when to reserve. ([kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de](https://www.kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de/verein/))
Menu, Breakfast, and Bar
The menu presents the Artists' House Kempten as a mix of café, bistro, and evening bar. The website lists breakfast, sandwiches, pasta, toasts, salads, piadinas, snacks, desserts, as well as beer, wine, soft drinks, cocktails, coffee, and tea. This covers both a quick coffee in the morning and a longer evening with snacks or a complete meal. The breadth of the menu is particularly pleasant: it appeals to early risers, students, families, cultural audiences, and people who just want to have a drink. ([kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de](https://www.kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de/k%C3%BCche/))
A look at the current menu shows that the kitchen consciously focuses on familiar, well-combinable dishes. Mentioned are club sandwiches, Pinsa variations, piadinas, salads, Pasta Amore, currywurst, nachos, baked potatoes, toasties, and various snacks. Desserts like cakes or ice cream, as well as drinks from Zötler beer to house wine to prosecco, Aperol spritz, Hugo, and cocktails are also included. This selection is not fine-dining star cuisine but everyday, audience-friendly gastronomy with enough variety to find something suitable before the stage or after a city stroll. ([kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de](https://www.kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de/k%C3%BCche/))
Especially for search queries for 'menu', 'menu card', or 'bar', this combination is crucial: The Artists' House is neither just a café nor just a pub, but a place that brings together eating, drinking, and lingering into a common concept. This makes the location attractive for different times of the day. In the morning, one can have breakfast, in the afternoon eat something light, in the evening stay for a drink, or grab a snack at an event. From an SEO perspective, this versatility is strong because it covers the actual user intentions behind the keywords well. ([kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de](https://www.kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de/k%C3%BCche/))
Stage, Program, and Tickets
The second major pillar of the house is the stage program. Even the navigation of the website clearly separates between Cafe.Bar and .Stage Program, and for events, the house refers to ticket sales via the ticket shop or Reservix. This signals: here, culture is not treated as a footnote but as a fixed function of the house. Those searching for 'artists' house kempten program' or 'tickets' will therefore not find just any spontaneous event space but a structured place with regular programming and advance sales. ([kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de](https://www.kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de/))
Examples from the official news and event environment also show a wide range. The house has been used for improvisational theater, panel discussions, open-air formats, and party-specific events; the site also mentions around 80 events per year. This fits with a socio-cultural meeting point that not only hosts concerts but also facilitates exchange, workshops, and local topics. Therefore, anyone expecting a pure music venue underestimates the house: the stage is part of a larger culture and encounter logic. ([kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de](https://www.kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de/2022/11/14/die-wendejacken-improtheater/?utm_source=openai))
For visitors, this is especially practical. A house that offers tickets online, openly communicates events, and is also gastronomically well-equipped makes evening planning much easier. One can eat before the event, stay afterward, or combine a spontaneous visit with ticket purchase. This is precisely why the combination of 'stage', 'program', and 'tickets' is so important for search queries: it describes the real usage everyday life of the Artists' House and not just an abstract event page. ([kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de](https://www.kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de/))
Photos, Atmosphere, and Social Media
Those searching for photos usually want to assess not just the building but the atmosphere. The official homepage therefore works strongly with image areas and simultaneously refers to Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube, and TikTok. This is sensible for a place like the Artists' House Kempten because the mix of café, bar, and stage visually appears very different - more relaxed and bright during the day, livelier and event-oriented in the evening. The first impression on the website shows: one should not only read here but also get a sense of the atmosphere. ([kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de](https://www.kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de/))
The social media connection is more than just additional advertising. It helps with exactly those search queries that aim for impressions and images: interior views, stage moments, audience situations, or daily moods. Even though the website itself does not have a classic gallery in the sense of a museum, the image series and the linked channels clearly show that the house's appearance is strongly conveyed through visual impressions. For SEO, this is relevant because users searching with the keyword 'photos' often want to quickly understand whether a place is more cozy, urban, student-oriented, or culturally influenced. The Artists' House clearly shows an open, lively, and communicative appearance here. ([kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de](https://www.kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de/))
Additionally, the house repeatedly appears as a place for community in the event context: previous contributions, open-air formats, and concert evenings convey the image of a meeting point that addresses different audience groups. This strengthens the perception as a lively address in Kempten that one visits not just for a single thing but for the overall feeling of food, drink, culture, and encounters. Therefore, those searching for images find not just architecture but a way of life. ([kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de](https://www.kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de/2026/02/14/14-02-26-k%C3%BCnstlerpark-fasching/?utm_source=openai))
History of the House and Club Culture
The history of the Artists' House is a central part of its identity. According to the official house history, the current building was constructed in 1873 as a residential house for a master stonemason. In 1897, it was remodeled for commercial purposes, and from 1909, a bank used the house. After the bank moved out in 1982, the building stood empty for a while before being acquired by the city of Kempten. This development explains why the place today has such a special mix of old building substance and cultural reuse. ([s0600af73709f993e.jimcontent.com](https://s0600af73709f993e.jimcontent.com/download/version/1734954372/module/14603275378/name/2024-06%20Karte%20K%C3%BCnstlerhaus%20Kempten.pdf))
In the further history of use, the change becomes particularly evident. From 1983 to 2004, the house was the seat of Haus International, after which the name Artists' House became established. In 2011, the building was leased to students of the Kempten University, who organized concerts, exhibitions, and gastronomy there. In 2012, the main and finance committee of the city of Kempten unanimously decided to preserve the building and collaborate with the Artists' House e.V.; the association itself has existed since 2013. This shows a development in which civic engagement and municipal support work together. ([s0600af73709f993e.jimcontent.com](https://s0600af73709f993e.jimcontent.com/download/version/1734954372/module/14603275378/name/2024-06%20Karte%20K%C3%BCnstlerhaus%20Kempten.pdf))
This history is invaluable for today's external presentation. Those searching for 'history' or 'special features' usually want to know why a place is more than just an address. Here, the answer is: because it has carried various social functions over decades and has been reinterpreted repeatedly. This is precisely what makes the Artists' House credible as a socio-cultural meeting point. The association describes the house as open, participatory, and social; at the same time, it emphasizes discounts, co-design, and a strong sense of community. Thus, history is not told as a museum but as a lived present. ([kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de](https://www.kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de/verein/))
Location, Contact, and Visit in the Heart of Kempten
The Artists' House Kempten is located at Beethovenstraße 2 in 87435 Kempten (Allgäu) and sees itself as a meeting point in the heart of the city. The contact page makes it clear that inquiries for birthdays, exhibitions, or bookings can be made through the form. This is important for visitors because the location is thus not only gastronomy but also an address for events. Those planning a table reservation or having organizational questions can find the contact methods directly on the website. ([kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de](https://www.kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de/kontakt/))
The central location fits the positioning of the house: café during the day, bar in the evening, plus stage and club work. Especially in combination with the fixed opening hours and advance sales, a very user-friendly overall picture emerges. One can plan the visit without complicated preparation, gets clear time slots, knows where to reserve, and can select events through the stage program. This mix is a key reason why the house is perceived as a lively address in Kempten. ([kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de](https://www.kuenstlerhaus-kempten.de/))
From an SEO perspective, this is as relevant as for real visitors: the frequently searched combinations of 'address', 'opening hours', 'menu', 'tickets', 'photos', and 'program' meet here at a location that bundles all these needs in one house. This is precisely why the Artists' House Kempten works so well as a search term - it describes not just a place but an entire usage experience. Upon arrival, one finds a place for breakfast or a late drink, for culture or spontaneous meetings, for reservations or ticket purchases. This multifaceted nature is the true profile of the location.
The place itself is nice. I was recommended to try this place because they have really great sandwiches and salads. So I tried, but I ended up trying a burger. Maybe I can recommend this place for sandwiches or salads, but not for a burger! It was dry and the fries were too salty. Also, it was quite hard to cut the burger in that basket. I also ordered a spicy burger, but they forgot the chili and jalapeno, so it was just a normal burger in the end and not very tasty. Of course, they really apologized for that and offered something else. Well, you can try, but please don't get a burger, or maybe I was just unlucky.

The best pizza I've eaten in a long time. Loved the totally home-like atmosphere, service, homebrew, all in all the place I would surely visit again.

I was a tourist in Kempten, it started to rain so we decided to sit at the nearest bar. For me, a very relaxed and beautiful place. People are relaxed, and there are no rules, you can play chess, have lunch, drink beer or coffee, whatever. I would recommend it to anyone.

What a nice place to eat and grab a drink. They have board games so you can have some fun with your friends. In addition, the clean bathrooms and friendly staff really make this place a great hangout. I highly recommend their banana beer, it’s delicious.
