Hotel & Restaurant St. Raphael in Allgäu | Conference Hotel & Parking
The Hotel & Restaurant St. Raphael in Allgäu is a destination in Kempten for guests who want to combine work, relaxation, and enjoyment in a natural way. The establishment describes itself as a 3-star superior conference, seminar, and vacation hotel, combining modern amenities with social commitment, a quiet location in nature, and a clear sense of hospitality. Upon arrival, guests find not just a classic hotel, but a place with history, a park, a restaurant, and a concept that consciously focuses on personality, coziness, and inclusion. The official house communication emphasizes both the character as a city hotel in nature and the role as a restaurant and conference house, so the presentation caters to many different search intentions. Conference Hotel Kempten: Rooms, Seating, and Equipment
For those specifically searching for a conference hotel in Kempten, seminar hotel in Kempten, or conference rooms in Kempten, St. Raphael is particularly interesting because the establishment clearly and versatilely describes its event spaces. A total of 5 rooms are available, which, according to the house overview, are suitable for 6 to 70 participants; in certain seating arrangements, the capacities even exceed that depending on the room. The largest room, Grünten, measures 127 square meters and accommodates up to 80 seats in cinema format, while Mariaberg with 85 square meters, Stoffelberg I+II with 64 square meters, Falkenstein I+II with 64 square meters, and Rottach with 26 square meters cover different formats for small meetings, workshops, discussions, family celebrations, and larger conferences. The rooms are designed to work with daylight, can be darkened if necessary, and offer free Wi-Fi everywhere. This makes the establishment well-equipped not only for in-person seminars but also for hybrid workdays, presentations, and creative team processes. The conference package also includes standard technology, namely flipchart, pinboard, moderation case, projector, and presentation area. This combination is attractive for many groups because it reduces organizational effort and simplifies planning. ([hotel-raphael.de](https://www.hotel-raphael.de/wp-content/uploads/Tagungsmappe-2026.pdf))
Particularly practical is that St. Raphael not only rents out rooms but also responds to different needs with its event service. According to the house website, the staff assists with presentation technology, seating, and individual design, and the conference packages range from simple formats to more extensive offers with lunch, coffee breaks, or evening options. Additionally, there is the possibility to use the hotel park for outdoor conferences and group work. This access to the outdoors is a real added value, especially for creative workshops, strategy meetings, or team days, as it expands the usual conference framework and combines movement, nature, and focused work phases. The supplementary areas such as club lounge, garden, barbecue area, and bar are also described on the official site as flexible and inspiring spaces. This creates a coherent overall picture for companies, associations, and private groups that value atmosphere, reliability, and flexible room options in their events. Therefore, those searching for event venues in Kempten, conferences in Kempten, or seminar rooms in Allgäu will find a place here that consciously thinks about work and hospitality together and does not reduce it to a standard solution. Directions and Parking at St. Raphael in Allgäu
Regarding the topics of directions to Kempten and parking in Kempten, the establishment provides clear, useful information. The address is Bischof-Freundorfer-Weg 24, 87439 Kempten, and for those arriving by car, the conference house describes a specific route from the A7 exit 134-Kempten. From there, it goes via Stephanstraße, then via Berliner Platz, and further via Adenauerring to Pettenkoferstraße. These instructions are particularly helpful for conference guests as they make arrival predictable and structure the route through Kempten understandably. Those arriving by public transport will also find concrete orientation: the conference brochure mentions the stop Pettenkoferstraße or Adenauerring, from which the conference house is in immediate proximity. This makes the hotel easily accessible for guests without a car. Combined with the central location and the note that the city center can be reached on foot in about 15 minutes, it becomes clear that St. Raphael is very well situated for city trips, business stays, and multi-day events. ([hotel-raphael.de](https://www.hotel-raphael.de/wp-content/uploads/Tagungsmappe-2026.pdf))
When it comes to parking, the establishment highlights several advantages. Free parking spaces are available directly at the hotel, which is a strong argument, especially for seminars, family celebrations, and short stays. Additionally, an underground garage is available upon request, and the English house website mentions two electric charging stations with a price of 60 cents per kilowatt-hour. This makes arrival pleasant for both electric car drivers and traditional car guests. The location in a large park with old trees and the proximity to the old town also ensure that the hotel feels quiet despite its city location and does not resemble an anonymous transit house. This combination of good accessibility, nature, and comfortable infrastructure is very valuable for search queries like hotel nearby, book hotel, or hotel Kempten. The direct view of the spacious hotel park is also an argument because it slows down the arrival and positions the house as a retreat. For groups arriving with multiple vehicles, the combination of free parking spaces, underground garage upon request, and charging infrastructure is particularly practical. ([hotel-raphael.de](https://www.hotel-raphael.de/en/))
Restaurant, Breakfast, and Celebrations at the Hotel
The restaurant of St. Raphael is a central part of the establishment and for many guests a reason to stay overnight or plan events here. The official site describes the culinary offerings as a combination of healthy eating and enjoyment, featuring regional and international specialties in a stylish ambiance. Particularly helpful for planning are the opening hours: breakfast is served Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 10:00, Saturday from 07:00 to 10:30, and Sunday and public holidays from 07:00 to 12:00. The restaurant itself is open Monday to Saturday from 18:00 to 21:30 and closed on Sundays. Therefore, those searching for breakfast in Kempten, restaurant in Kempten, or menu of St. Raphael will find reliable information and an offer that appeals to both hotel guests and external visitors. The house website also emphasizes that the breakfast buffet ranges from hearty to sweet and from light to hearty, allowing for a comfortable start to the day. ([hotel-raphael.de](https://www.hotel-raphael.de/en/restaurant/))
For celebrations, the restaurant is also interesting, as the establishment explicitly sees itself as a place for parties, family celebrations, and social occasions. The restaurant page describes that small and large celebrations can be held here in a dreamlike ambiance. This is complemented by a terrace and garden, which serve as a special backdrop for dining, celebrating, and relaxing hours. In the garden, guests can enjoy fresh air, a pleasant atmosphere, and even a view of the old town in the expansive monastery garden. This is particularly attractive for occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, baptisms, small weddings, corporate events, or an upscale dinner. Additionally, the kitchen is described in the philosophy section as regional, fresh, and seasonal, using herbs from its own garden. This creates a culinary profile that not only satisfies hunger but also emphasizes the character of the house: honest, down-to-earth, high-quality, and close to the region. Those who value a good restaurant in the hotel during their search will benefit from short distances, predictable times, and an atmosphere that convinces both in everyday life and during festive moments. ([hotel-raphael.de](https://www.hotel-raphael.de/en/restaurant/))
Staying in Design Rooms with a View of Nature
As an accommodation address, St. Raphael is also convincing because the establishment clearly describes its rooms as bright, modern design rooms. The conference brochure mentions 37 double rooms that are friendly and bright and feature French balconies. Amenities include flat-screen TV, telephone, safe with integrated laptop connection, desk, free Wi-Fi, and two separate mattresses. Additionally, breakfast buffet is included in the stay, as well as a bottle of water upon arrival in the room. This combination appeals to both business travelers and vacation guests who appreciate comfort, tranquility, and functional amenities. In many search queries such as book hotel, hotel nearby, or hotel Kempten, this desire for uncomplicated, well-equipped accommodation is embedded. St. Raphael fulfills it with a clear, unexcited profile and the uniqueness that the rooms do not fall into an interchangeable standard concept but are embedded in a house with historical depth. ([hotel-raphael.de](https://www.hotel-raphael.de/wp-content/uploads/Tagungsmappe-2026.pdf))
Also practical are the travel information that the establishment openly communicates. Check-in is possible from 15:00, and check-out is until 10:00. For late arrivals, there is a key box, and the reception is available for personal service. This reliability is important, especially for business trips, conferences, or short trips, as it clarifies the daily schedule. Additionally, the quiet location in its own park with tall trees makes the stay pleasantly calming. The official site therefore describes St. Raphael not only as a conference hotel but also as a city hotel in nature. This formulation accurately captures the location: close enough to the city for errands, restaurant visits, and excursions, but far enough in nature to truly unwind after intense appointments. Those searching for a hotel with breakfast, quiet surroundings, and short distances will find an offer here that is sensible for couples, solo travelers, seminar participants, and groups alike. The mix of amenities, location, park, and personal service makes staying at St. Raphael a balanced overall package. ([hotel-raphael.de](https://www.hotel-raphael.de/en/))
From Monastery to Inclusion Hotel: History and Sustainability
The perhaps strongest feature of St. Raphael lies in its history. On the philosophy page, the establishment describes that it was once a monastery and still houses the Allgäu Sisters of the Order of the Sisters of Love of Christ. Instead of building a new structure, the existing building was comprehensively renovated with great care and respect for history and developed into a modern hotel. This creates the mixture of historical soul and contemporary design that remains palpable in the daily life of the house. The large garden, the park with old trees, and the quiet atmosphere remind of the monastic roots, while the modern amenities and the clear hotel function show how successful the repurposing has been. For guests, this is more than just a nice story, as it shapes the mood of the house and makes the stay unusually authentic. Those searching for a monastery hotel in Allgäu or who value character and origin in their hotel search will find a convincing example here of how tradition and present can go hand in hand. ([hotel-raphael.de](https://www.hotel-raphael.de/philosophie/))
Equally important is the social profile of the establishment. St. Raphael is part of the non-profit integration company InHoGa gGmbH, and at least 40 percent of the staff consists of people with severe disabilities. The hotel explicitly sees itself as an inclusion hotel with added value and as a place where diversity, professional development, and psychological safety are promoted. This attitude is not just a statement in the hospitality everyday life but a concrete part of the concept. This also aligns with the emphasis on sustainability, regional products, and herbs from its own garden. The house describes sustainability not only as environmental awareness but as respectful interaction with history, nature, and people. This multidimensionality makes St. Raphael so special: it is a hotel, restaurant, conference house, and social place at the same time. Those staying here or planning an event are not just choosing accommodation but a house that visibly lives its values. For SEO search queries like inclusion hotel, monastery hotel, or sustainable hotel in Allgäu, this is a strong content basis because it is not just a claim but part of the official self-presentation. ([hotel-raphael.de](https://www.hotel-raphael.de/philosophie/))
Excursion Tips in Kempten and Allgäu
St. Raphael is not only a place to stay and hold conferences but also a good starting point for excursions in Kempten and Allgäu. On the official event and conference page, destinations include the Archaeological Park Cambodunum, the royal castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau, as well as the Skywalk Allgäu. This mix of culture, history, and nature fits very well with guests who want to combine a seminar stay with a little exploration. Especially for multi-day conferences, this is an advantage because focused work can be combined with a relaxing supporting program. Those using the house for a weekend can quickly depart from the quiet location in nature to the city or region, providing a flexible basis for different travel plans. ([hotel-raphael.de](https://www.hotel-raphael.de/en/events-conferences/))
Also ideal for private short vacations, the location offers a good mix of city life, history, and Allgäu landscape. The hotel itself emphasizes that business and private occasions can be excellently combined here. Therefore, those searching for hotel Kempten, Allgäu hotel, or city hotel in nature will find not just accommodation but a house from which many impressions can be gathered in a short time. St. Raphael is particularly suitable for guests who appreciate tranquility but do not want to forgo accessibility. The park at the house, the proximity to the city center, and the good connection to excursion destinations make the location versatile. This also makes the hotel interesting for longer stays, especially when meetings, family visits, celebrations, or regional exploration tours follow one another. The official communication clearly shows: this is not just about overnight stays but about a rounded experience in a region that brings together tradition, nature, and hospitality in close proximity.
I stayed at Hotel St. Raphael im Allgäu for quite a long time, and I have to say, it’s truly a top-notch hotel. The food was absolutely excellent, with high-quality ingredients and great variety. The garden was a lovely place to relax, and the service was consistently friendly and professional. Drinks were also great, and one of the highlights was the Kruki machine, a fascinating system where cocktails are placed in a cabinet, heated with a lamp, and within a minute, they come out perfectly chilled with ice. The rooms were quiet and comfortable, making it a perfect place to unwind. Overall, a fantastic experience and definitely a hotel I’d recommend!

Quite liked this place. Again, 15 minutes walk from the old town, hotel is in nice surroundings with plenty of parking including a nice tree shaded area behind the hotel. Rooms were clean and standard, no Aircon though. Breakfast was free, included and quite a good selection. Would recommend.

The hotel used to be a monastery but was completely renovated and is quite modern. The staff is very friendly and the service is always great. The in-house restaurant is also good with an often changing menu and seasonal dishes. Especially the steaks are surprisingly good! The breakfast selection is rich and plentiful. The rooms are all identical with a queen size bed and TV. Free WiFi is available and mostly very usable. The location is convenient with easy access to the city by foot.

Stayed here on the first day of our honeymoon in Europe. Highly recommended it for 3 reasons: 1. Rapid check-in: Arrived late at 21:00 but no probs cos the nice bloke from reception checked us in smoothly within 5 mins. 2. Very kind staff: Gotta check out at 7.30 due to our early slot of Neuschwanstein Castle, and leave our room card and bill to the reception. Got no change for our beer bill from the previous night. This nice lady from the restaurant, Vilma, explained to us very patiently that reception only opened at 8, kindly helped us with some change money, and gave us very nice blessings for our honeymoon. It means a lot to us. Thank you Vilma! 3. Marvellous breakfast: We love the superb breakfast as it offers a great variety of tasty food and drinks. This is one of the best breakfast from all hotels we've stayed in. A fabulous way to start our first day of honeymoon with a great mood.
